Priorities

I’m committed to removing barriers to affordable housing. Regulation, building and design standards, and taxation are a few of the culprits to rising home prices that I’m committed to limiting.

I will continue to support Sheriff Rowell in his proactive agenda to keep our community safe. That means finding creative and alternative treatments for those struggling with mental health, paying officers a competitive wage, and investing in the newest technology to minimize danger to both citizens and officers.
We’ll continue to lead and be vigilant to safeguard our citizens from traffickers and other criminals using I-70 to commit interstate crimes.

Continue to maximize Mesa County taxpayer dollars by seeking real value in investments like roads, bridges, broadband and public safety
The Taxpayer Bill of Rights still means something in Mesa County and I will continue to support and protect limits on taxation and government spending.

I'll work hand in hand with our small businesses and entrepreneurs to reduce bureaucratic red tape and streamline our processes.
We need to continue to leverage Colorado Mesa University, the Mesa County Workforce Center, and trade schools to prepare our young people for vibrant careers here at home.
Mesa County is blessed with enormous opportunities from tourism, to natural resources, to outdoor recreation, to tech incubators, and we need to aggressively promote and recruit new businesses that will grow these jobs and careers for our future.

As we move into the future, Mesa County families and businesses deserve affordable and reliable energy. We’re blessed to have those energy resources produced right here, from oil and natural gas to renewables, so we don't have to rely on foreign producers who don't share our values and environmental goals.
Mesa County is open to and enthusiastic about renewable energy. Our strategy encompasses a diverse mix of energy sources, including solar, wind, hydroelectric, and nuclear power. As we look to expand our electrical grid, harnessing every possible form of electricity generation is key to our progress.
